Ever since I can remember I have loved to draw. A few years ago while I was a manager for a sports-bar, restaurant I began creating chalk-board paintings for the restaurant. I soon realized that I enjoyed creating the paintings much more than managing and I knew it was time for a change.
I packed up the family and we headed back to my hometown where I joined my mom, Gina Rath in her business where we created faux finishes and murals for homes and businesses. This opportunity allowed me to work with various mediums and often pushed me out of my comfort zone which in turn made me more confident, confirming that painting is what I am meant to do. I don’t think a day goes by that I am not painting, reading and/or learning from artists I admire.
Painting is where I am to be right now. I am constantly thinking of how to recreate everyday life and memories onto canvas. I want to take the colors I see and the feeling of the experience and somehow bring it alive so others can experience this brush of life.
I live in Northern Kentucky with my two very-creative kids and my beautiful wife, Danielle who is always supporting me and encouraging me.
